Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Next Moves: UK Returns, a Diana Documentary, and a Tribute to Gloria Steinem
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making headlines once again as they navigate a series of major life transitions and new projects. From a widely discussed return to the United Kingdom to upcoming film productions and personal tributes, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are keeping busy.
A Return to the UK and Security Concerns
After spending the last six years living in California, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have returned to Britain, reportedly settling in the Cotswolds with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Buckingham Palace has confirmed the move, noting that the couple will remain non-working members of the Royal Family.
However, the transition has not been without its challenges. The couple's primary concern revolves around security, specifically the daily school run. Fearing that fixed drop-off points could leave them vulnerable to paparazzi and other threats, Prince Harry is currently awaiting a decision from the Home Secretary regarding state-funded police protection during their stay.
Honoring Princess Diana on Film
On the professional front, Prince Harry is working on a television film or documentary to pay homage to his late mother, Princess Diana, ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death in 2027.
Interestingly, Meghan is expected to play a central role in the project. Sources indicate that rather than just helping behind the scenes, the Duchess of Sussex will serve as the narrator for the film. "Harry may be the son, but Meghan will be the voice viewers hear," a production insider shared, noting that the couple is developing the project together.
A Heartfelt Tribute to Gloria Steinem
Amidst their cross-continental move, Meghan recently took to Instagram to share a deeply personal tribute to the late feminist icon and activist Gloria Steinem, who passed away at the age of 92.
Calling Steinem a "friend and mentor," Meghan shared a carousel of personal photos, including a previously unseen, framed image of Steinem reaching out to a toddler-aged Prince Archie at the couple's former Montecito home. Meghan reflected on their close bond, sharing that Steinem loved her children "with her whole heart" and spent Thanksgiving with their family. The touching tribute provided a rare glimpse into the private friendship between the Duchess and the legendary trailblazer.
